Brewin Dolphin appoints new Head of Office for Taunton branch

BREWIN Dolphin, one of the UK’s largest independent private client investment managers, has appointed Chris Rew as the new Head of Office for its Taunton office.

He will take over from Terry Leach who now heads up the new Brewin Dolphin office in Bristol.

Mr Rew started his career by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1984. He then joined M&G Investment Management as a Portfolio Manager, managing the equity portfolios of pension Funds, Charities and Unit Trusts. He moved to Foreign & Colonial in 1997 where he was responsible for managing portfolios for institutional Pension Funds, Trusts and Investment Trusts and Charities, before moving into the private client arena in 2005. Mr Rew joined Brewin Dolphin in 2009 having worked previously at UBS Wealth Management in Taunton and currently looks after private client portfolios.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Rew said: "I am delighted to take on this position and I am confident that the team here can continue to build upon the excellent work achieved over the last few years under the outstanding leadership of Terry Leach. I’m very much looking forward to taking up the challenge of my new role."

The Brewin Dolphin Taunton office was officially established in 2000. The office has grown over the years from eight to 24 people and now offers portfolio management, charities investment management, pension management, ethical investments, services for professional intermediaries as well as financial planning to their clients.
