CRICKET: St Andrews President Peter Corcoran resigns

PETER Corcoran stood down after seven years as President when Taunton St Andrews held a well-attended annual meeting at the Wyvern Club.

His role has been taken by former player Terry Collins with Lee Tomkins the club Vice President.

Kevin Parsons has now over as 1st XI Captain from brother Keith. Kevin had previously captained the club for 15 consecutive seasons up until 2008.

Joshua Clatworthy takes over as captain of the 2nd XI after last year’s captain, James Brice, finished the season as a regular first team player.

Rob Puzey has stepped up to be the 3rd XI captain after Chris Wyatt relinquished the post due to work commitments. Stuart Hockey remains as 4th XI captain for a second season.

In addition to the above the following officers were appointed for the 2012 season: Hon. Chairman, Richard Brice; Hon. Treasurer, Carol Poole; Hon. Secretary, Kevin Sedgbeer; Hon. Fixture Secretary, Martin Baldock; Hon. Auditor, Kevin Parsons/Albert Goodman; 1st XI Captain Kevin Parsons, Vice-Captain Lloyd Alley; 2nd XI Captain Joshua Clatworthy, Vice-Captain Tom Poole; 3rd XI Captain Rob Puzey, 3rd XI Vice-Captain TBC; 4th XI Captain Stuart Hockey, Vice-Captain Martin Baldock; Sunday XI Captain James Brice/Lloyd Alley; Youth Representative, Alan Parsons.
